Caldera Hearth Festival 2025


Join us for Caldera’s fourth annual Hearth Festival—a hands-on, creative celebration on Saturday, October 18th, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Caldera in Sisters, Oregon!

Experience a day full of music, art, films, guest speakers, artisan foods, play, and natural wonder. Explore your creativity at our family-friendly Maker Stations and dive into activities for all ages.

This free festival is open to the entire community. 

Hearth Festival offers a space to come together, celebrate resilience, and share joy and creativity.

Pre-registration is encouraged! Space is limited for our morning and afternoon sessions, including Canoe Photography on Blue Lake, African Drumming, and more. Sign up early to reserve your spot and plan your day!

Canoe Photography Paddle on Blue Lake with Sister JRae and learn how to capture the beauty of its surroundings. Space for this Maker’s Station is limited. Note all participants will need to sign a liability form onsite. Youth under 18  will need a guardian signature.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Screen Printing  Come prepared to get a little messy with screen printing. Learn how to use a squeegee and print onto your very own canvas flag! Canvas flags will be provided

 

 

 

 

 

 

African Drumming Learn how African drumming is part of the Caldera story. Playing, we have Caldera’s own Mr.Caton, Soul Deep, and the WAV, welcoming in guests to Hearth Festival with live drumming and rhythm.

 

 

 

 

 

 

"Wood" Cookie Decorating Learn how wood cookies are part of the Caldera story and show off your cookie decorating skills and then when all is said and done, eat a cookie. "Wood" cookies and icing will be provided.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Coloring Wall Were you told never to color on a wall? Well, at Hearth Festival, we WANT you too. Thanks to Wieden+Kennedy for sponsoring this maker station. Come join us and draw away.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Zine Making Design and assemble your very own zine- a handmade booklet filled with anything you want such as drawings, poetry, etc. Led by our very own Cloud.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jewelry Making Craft your own jewelry—bracelets, necklaces, or charms using colorful beads and unique designs. Make one for yourself or for your friends! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ice Sculpting A demonstration and teaching of how to use ice as the only material for making sculptures. Led by Nina, they will demonstrate how to sculpt, carve, and chisel a block of ice into something mesmerizing.
