What are Makers Stations? These arts stations will provide opportunities to explore creativity through a variety of mediums. These Maker’s Stations are an invitation to view creativity as an awakening of expression. We invite you to take a peek at the Maker’s Stations for Hearth Festival 2024.
Neuroscience & Creativity Hosted by NW Noggin, they bring together students, scientists, educators, and artists to enthuse and inform academic priority K-12, and the public, about science and art. Come out and play with your brains!
Ikebana Flower Arranging Ikebana is the ancient Japanese art of flower arranging that dates back to the 7th century. Rachel Alm will lead in the telling of the philosophy of Ikebana while teaching the craft. Flowers will be provided. Canoe Photography Paddle on Blue Lake with Sister JRae and learn how to capture the beauty of its surroundings. Screen Printing Come prepared to get a little messy with screen printing. Learn how to use a squeegee and print onto your very own tote bag. Tote bags will be provided.

Ice Sculpting A demonstration and teaching of how to use ice as the only material for making sculptures. Led by Nina Byrd, who will demonstrate how to sculpt, carve, and chisel a block of ice into something mesmerizing.
Song Writing For more than 28 years, SFF Presents has provided opportunities for adults and youth alike to listen, discover, learn, and create community through shared artistic experiences. Through a long term partnership with Caldera, we welcome Beth Wood from SFF Presents to teach songwriting.
"Wood" Cookie Decorating Learn how wood cookies are part of the Caldera story and show off your cookie decorating skills and then when all is said and done, eat a cookie. "Wood" cookies and icing will be provided.
