YOU'RE INVITED

Caldera's Portland Spirit Drawing Room

Thursday, May 28, 2026 | 5:30-9:30 PM | 1010 SW Naito Pkwy Portland, OR 97204

THE EVENT

On May 28th, we invite you to join us for an intimate evening bringing friends—new and old—together for conversation, connection, and shared experience.

Part salon, part shared table, this special gathering invites artists, supporters, and creative thinkers to slow down, engage deeply, and spark ideas that continue well beyond the night itself.

Guests will gather aboard the Portland Spirit for a three-hour sunset cruise along the Willamette River beginning with a happy hour and cocktail reception, followed by a shared dinner in community featuring a custom menu curated by the artists.

THE ARTISTS

Our Portland Drawing Room brings acclaimed artists Tessa Hulls and Shing Yin Khor together for a thoughtful conversation about creative practice using the river as a guiding metaphor.

Hulls, a Pulitzer Prize-winning graphic novelist and illustrator, and Khor, a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and National Book Award finalist, will explore how creative paths branch into different mediums and come back together over time.

Their conversation will reflect on rivers as places of escape, renewal, and responsibility, touching on urban waterways, sustainability, and food security through the lens of water and shared care.

This is a one-night experience shaped by the river, the artists, and the people gathered together—an invitation to connect, reflect, and be part of a conversation that carries forward.
